On Wednesday, Saumu Mbuvi sent out a sweet message to Lamu Senator Anwar Liotiptip days after they were attacked by goons.

“Hi Future, Thank you for putting your life before mine, For standing by me, Advising me and always being there for me ...you will forever be my Best friend. Wishing you quick recovery hun,” she wrote.

The message that began with the words ‘Hi Future’ left fans believing that Saumu had jumped back on the dating horse weeks after parting ways with her boyfriend and business partner.

And so they went in on her with some of them accusing her of moving on too fast into the arms of a polygamous man.

“I need that grace of moving on like the ex nigga never existed. But pia umekuwa too much. Keep your rshps off social media...pole senator and congrats for defending your 4th wife to be,” read a snarky comment from one of her followers.

“How I live my life is none of your business...wewe Tumia muda wako kuwahesabu...u can send application ukuwe Bibi wa tano,” Saumu retorted.

“Another one “in DJ Khaled’s voice” read another comment and Saumu responded with “Sawa deejay wa Korogocho.”

Her fans weren’t done with her and one commented with “Aki huyu ni mgani? Si i thought u guys broke up?”

Forcing Saumu to respond with “@machimbodoreen Huyu ni mjomba wako.”

Attack on Saumu and Senator Anwar

On June 2 2019, the two were recently attacked by a gang at the Memphis Lounge along Thika Road where they had gone to watch a UEFA Champion’s League match.

According to a statement recorded by Saumu, the men who attacked them were led by a ‘short, brown man’ who had earlier in the night accosted her at the ladies' washroom.

“As I went inside the toilet a man who was standing in front of the toilet followed me to the toilet and grabbed me by my top. He pulled the top tearing it. I screamed for help and someone threw a stone inside. The man who was brown and short moved out and entered into a room and locked himself in," the statement by Saumu read in part.

The incident prompted the Senator to go after the short man seeking to settle matters man to man.

Saumu narrated that she pleaded with her companion to forgive the man, and when they were leaving the club around 3 a.m on Sunday morning, they were waylaid by a gang of men.

“After the incident, we left heading to the car when a group of about nine in the company of the brown [man] came after us. The men were all armed with clubs and started beating Anwar on the foot prompting him to fall down. I covered his head and shielded him from the beatings when I was also hit on the right arm sustaining injuries," she stated.

The incident ended up with Anwar getting admitted to the Aga Khan University Hospital where he was treated for serious cuts to the head.
