Actresses' mum visits her in jail (Photo)

Last week, Dar es Salaam’s District Commissioner Paul Makonda released a list of celebrity drug users and peddlers which included T.I.D ,Nyandu Tozzy, Vanessa Mdee , Nay wa Mitego ,Wemas’s off-on-on-again ex Idris Sultan and Clouds F.M presenter Babu wa Kitaa.

The damning list also implicated singer Diamond Platnumz and Ray C who recently checked herself in and out of rehab after her scary outburst in Kinondoni Dar es Salaam.

Since Wema has been in the jailhouse for questioning for the last four days, Wema’s mum today headed to the police station. The former diplomat’s wife revealed that she waiting for the police’s statement in regards to whether Wema will be charged in court or no.

Speaking earlier to Mtanzania newspaper, Mama Sepetu said “Kama mzazi nimeumia sana ila kwa sasa ninawaomba mniache maana siwezi kuongea kitu chochote kuhusu hili, hadi hapo polisi itakapotoa maamuzi yao ya uchunguzi wanaoufanya, ndiyo nitajua nini niseme.” As a parent, I’m terribly hurt but for now I cannot speak about this issue until I get more information about what is happening then I get back to you.

Diamond’s mum Sandra who was also at the police station is said to have ran for her car and declined to talk to reporters.

“Jamani kwa sasa sipo tayari kuongea chochote kile."(I’m sorry, but I’m not ready to talk about this incident)” she said while pulling up her window.
