Wema Sepetu speaks after film board lifts indefinite ban
She was banned from engaging in any film activity!
Speaking after the ban was lifted, Ms. Sepetu said she had the longest six months of her life and she was thankful to God for getting her this far.
She went on to thank the Tanzanian Government for giving her another chance to do what she loves and that she had learnt a lot in the process.
She added that she would now like to focus on the future because what had happened had already happened.
I am acknowledging The Almighty first maana bila yeye nisingekuwa hapa... . Napenda Kuwashkuru wapenzi wangu wote kwa ujumla... Mliokuwa mkiniombea nivuke hiki kipindi... nimepitia challenges nyingi sana kipindi hiki jamani... Can’t wait to Get back in Action...” wrote Wema Sepetu.
The Tanzanian Film Board indefinitely banned Wema Sepetu from taking part in any film related activities after she shared sexually explicit photos and videos on social media.
The regulatory body issued a statement directing that Wema would not be allowed to shoot or direct any movie, until the time they would be satisfied that she had changed her ways.
