Six months after Tanzanian sweetheart Wema Sepetu was banned indefinitely from getting involved in any film related activity, the Tanzania Film Board has finally lifted the ban that has lasted six months.
Speaking after the ban was lifted, Ms. Sepetu said she had the longest six months of her life and she was thankful to God for getting her this far.
She went on to thank the Tanzanian Government for giving her another chance to do what she loves and that she had learnt a lot in the process.
She added that she would now like to focus on the future because what had happened had already happened.

Wema banned
The Tanzanian Film Board indefinitely banned Wema Sepetu from taking part in any film related activities after she shared sexually explicit photos and videos on social media.
The regulatory body issued a statement directing that Wema would not be allowed to shoot or direct any movie, until the time they would be satisfied that she had changed her ways.
