What Kenyan celebrities wore to the Groove Awards

Glam, pomp and color graced the Groove Awards red carpet with government officials, celebrities, gospel artists, media personalities and music fans bringing their best foot forward in terms of fashion.

Today we look at what some of your faves wore to the award ceremony.

Eunice Njeri who was the biggest winner of the night dazzled in a gold dress after bagging the Artist of the Year Award.

Joyce Omondi stunned in a dress from Carol G Fashion’s and her outfit was styled by Glam by Cess with Bayaa’s Touch on the facebeat.

Wahu and Nameless were all matchy-matchy in these cute white outfits. Nameless came to support his wife who won Music Video of the Year for her song Nifanane Nawe.

Kabi wa Jesus wore a suit designed by his wife Milly who wore a dress from Anne’s fashion line. The couple bagged the award for Online/Digital Personality of the Year.

Njesh wa Qabbz looked divine in this dress by Sarah Sash with Make Up By Nimo working on her face.

Masterpiece, the 2018 Groove award winner showed out in an outfit by Nimrod Nick with the legendary George Dufanda working on his haircut.

Chatspot host and musician Kush Tracey came to slay in an outfit by African Fabric & Designs Kenya.

It was a white and gold affair for MC of the Year, Timeless Noel and Teens Choice Song of the Year winners Jabidii and Moji Short Babaa.

Mr Seed let his fiancée Nimmo shine in this striking mermaid dress while he went for a very casual look in sweatpants and sneakers

Ezekiel Mutua looked dapper in this suit while Esther Passaris looked cheery in white despite getting an earlier spat with Nairobi Governor during Madaraka Day fete.

Away from the fashion other highlights of the night were performances of some of Kenya’s biggest gospel hits by Pitson, Eunice Njeri, Makena, Timeless Noel, Moji Short Babaa, Jabidii amongst others. Other performances that carried the night included Mash ups of 2018 hit songs, throwback hits and a cypher to amplify the theme of the season-Better Together.
