Ambassador Yvonne Khamati in Mourning
Gone too soon
Khamati shared the sad news via her social media pages, stating that;
“This has been a tough week! I lost my Aunty Pam and my great friend Patrick Asea... death is a cruel reminder of life, friendship and the fallacy of arrogance. So let me say to friends, family and foe ... May it be well with us. Its easier to mourn with a clean/clear heart”
“Dear PA::: I can’t believe you are no more. Gone. When I think of friendship, kindness and generosity I think of you. Fun, happy but focused. You know how hard and long it took me to find your bloody wedding venue in Entebbe? Then again must have taken you guys same time to find me in Mombasa that Christmas. You lived, you loved , you excelled my brother. Sleep well... rest with the Angels” reads Yvonne Khamati’s post.
According to the Youthful Ambassador,her late Aunty was one of her greatest support system when growing up.
“See my Aunty Pam recognized me as a child of the home when few did. I may be on a Forbes list or MIPAD list or youngest Balozi appointed by Kibaki but how is that important without family?”
Yvonne Khamati, is a Kenyan politician and diplomat who was appointed by President Mwai Kibaki to serve as Ambassador and Deputy Permanent Representative to Ethiopia and African Union at 24.
