You are not my type - Zari hits back after reports that she has a crush on Sonko
Zari sets the record straight
In an update seen by Pulselive.co.ke, the Brooklyn Colleges CEO, quashed reports being speculated by a number of gossip sites alleging that she had an Interview with Jacaranda FM in South Africa where she declared love for the Governor.
A number of local daily’s had been duped to believe that Zari had an interview with the said Radio station, but her statement confirms otherwise.
The cooked story, had suspicious quotes, purporting to be emanating from Ms Hassan.
“I want to reveal my love for the handsome Nairobi governor Mike Sonko. He is the man I have secretly admired for a long time. I love this handsome governor because he is a man of impeccable character and passionate convictions. He is not as boyish as the other kid who has been chasing me around, If you see Mike, please pass a word to him and tell him someone cares about him. I love this man because despite being powerful, he shares traits with my late beloved husband Ivan who loved to help the poor,” reads the fake quote.
Refuted the claims
However, the mother of five has countered the fake rumors stating that she had never even met Sonko.
“This nonsense from this man should stop. No I have no crush on you. I don’t know you never met you or anything. Please let me be. Plus you are not my type governor. Thank you” wrote Zari Hassan
A cross-check on Jacaranda FM Instagram page, indicates that Zari Hassan has not been interviewed by station in the recent past as they always update their followers with names of guests gracing their studios.
Just the other day, Sonko noted that he had been accused of being in a relationship with Rev Lucy Natasha and Ugandan socialite Zari Hassan.
Zari in Kenya
In May 2018, Zari was in Nairobi for the Colour purple concert and she was hosted by Mike Sonko’s wife Primrose Mbuvi.
The Colour Purple Concert was aimed at spreading cancer awareness, talk about women issues including motherhood and other lifestyle challenges Kenyan women face.
