Property valued at millions was destroyed Monday morning after a fire which broke out at 5.30am at the Kenya Defence Forces headquarters in Nairobi’s Hurlinghum area.

A military store at the Department of Defence (DoD) was gutted down by a fire that broke out at 5.30am.

Confirming the incidence, Kenya Defence Forces (KDF) spokesman Colonel David Obonyo said that no one was injured in the dawn incident.

Mr Obonyo said the inferno could have been caused by an electric fault. Meanwhile, the fire has since been put out, with property of unknown value having been destroyed.
