Matiangi ambushes Kenyans with 2017 KCPE results

Matiangi delivered the results to President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Harambee House.

The Education CS will release the results at the Kenya Institute of Curriculum Development (KICD) in Nairobi.

Matiangi delivered the results to President Uhuru Kenyatta at the Harambee House on Tuesday morning.

The results comes a record 19 days after the exams were completed.

The fast release of the results was credited to the automated Optical Mark Recognition machines that fast-tracked the process.

The government acquired 20 modern scanning machines that improved the speed and accuracy when processing the examinations.

A total of 1,003,556 candidates sat for this year's KCPE across 28,566 examination centres across the country.
