A crop of street children have emerged in Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) and are now targeting ladies around specific eating joints.

According to reports and victims’ accounts, the boys strategically hover around Dominos on Kenyatta Avenue, Debonairs near Nakumatt Lifestyle and Pizza Inn on Moi Avenue to harass ladies who frequent these eateries.

If you are not careful while carrying your takeaway, the street kids will snatch it and run away.

“I totally hate them! One cannot leave any eatery in the CBD in peace any more. You must swiftly stuff your takeaway in your bag or risk having it snatched from your hands,” a victim identified as Maureen Okore complained on Facebook.

The minors follow women asking for money but if they plea goes unsuccessful, they hurl insults at their victims.

Some ladies have even been sexually harassed by these street urchins for refusing to hand them cash.

Beauty shops including Best Lady outlets are also in the radar of these teenagers because women stream in huge numbers.

In the recent past, there have been numerous children on the streets on Nairobi coercing passers-by to purchase their different merchants including sweets, chewing gums etc.

Their mothers sit a stone throw away as their little ones beg for money.
