You might be eating healthy and exercising but, in the end, you realize that you seem to be stuck on the same weight and nothing seems to be changing. That’s because you might be stuck on habits that are preventing you from losing the weight. Here are morning habits you should stop if you want to lose that weight.

1. You refuse to eat a big breakfast.

Did you know that the time of the day we eat is much more important than what we eat? A diet that includes a big breakfast is extremely effective. Ideally, it’s advisable to have three meals a day; a substantial breakfast, a moderate lunch and a light dinner. The speed of our metabolism varies at different times of the day. It’s better to consume the largest number of calories in the morning when your metabolism is working quickly.

2. You don’t drink a glass of water after waking up.

In case you had no idea, drinking a glass of water after waking up is a really good idea. When you drink water in the morning, you rehydrate your body and in return, your digestion improves. In addition, water helps speed up your metabolism which decreases the risk of getting fat and also helps get rid of toxins in your body.

3. You don’t exercise.

Morning exercises can help you decrease your appetite. In addition, according to scientists, when people exercise when they’re hungry, they are 20% more efficient in terms of losing weight.

4. You save delicious dishes for lunch or dinner.

If you cannot resist eating sweet things, then do it in the earlier hours of the day. A cake eaten in the morning will add fewer inches to your waist, than a cake eaten during lunch time. The solution to this is eating a big breakfast with lots of variety.

5. Oversleeping.

Getting enough sleep, 6-8 hours is essential, however, getting too much sleep can be just as bad as not getting enough sleep. Too much sleep is linked to diabetes and heart disease. Plus, if you’re hitting the snooze button too much, that most likely means that you will be in a rush and you will probably skip a healthy breakfast.
