Home-made solutions to solve the acne problem
Acne is a long-term disease that occurs when hair follicles are clogged with dead cells and oil from the skin. The disease is characterized by blackheads or whiteheads, dry skin, possible scarring and oily skin
The skin disease mostly affects areas of the skin with a relatively high number of oil glands, the face, back and upper part of the chest.
Here is how to treat sunburn with toothpaste
Do not keep doing this if you have a bad reaction. It is most advisable, according to enthusiasts, to use organic toothpaste that does not have fluoride or many synthetic chemicals. This is because some people may have an allergy to fluoride and may develop skin rash if they apply it on skin. Organic toothpaste contains elements like Baking soda and Tea tree oil that will help in healing the acne.
However dermatologists say toothpaste should be one of the last resorts when treating acne. It is important to note that toothpaste does not have the antibacterial properties that help in treating the dreaded acne pimples.
Therefore doctors say it is not very effective. They further recommend that toothpaste should only be used as an emergency treatment for acne.
Though toothpaste is not a dermatologist approved treatment for acne, it has been a popular home-made aid for years.
Important things to note:
- Use a clean hand to apply the toothpaste on the pimple to prevent further infection.
