These are the stunning braids that fashionistas are rocking

Last year, ombre braids were a huge trend.

The colors were ranging from pink to blue to green, name it. The ombre trend is where the color comes in a gradient. The roots of the braid are black while the ends have a gradient color say a light pink, going into a deeper pink.

Now, the trend appears to be back, if the Instagram fashion and style pages are anything to go by. The turquoise braids are the in thing at the moment. Some people are calling them Aqua mermaid braids so I guess, whatever floats your boat? While some people are going for a full turquoise look, others are opting for a subtle look but most people are going for the turquoise ombre braids and I gotta say, the look is ech oooo teee…(HOT). It especially looks really nice on black skin, I guess cause of the contrast.

The stunning thing about this style is that turquoise is a pretty unexpected color on hair. Whether you tie your braids into a bun, leave them flowing or tie them into space buns or a top knot bun, the braids still look fab. It might not be necessarily suitable for the office unless you work in an informal environment but it’s definitely a trendy look for campus students, youngins or artistes looking for a new funky and edgy style.
