With time, your eyes can lose their white color due to various things such as pollen and other allergens.

The good news is that you can always whiten them using natural tips at home. If you want white and brighter eyes, try out these simple tips:

Stay away from smoke, dust and other allergens as they can change the color of your eyes. If you have friends who smoke, stay away from them when they smoke. Also, avoid cooking stoves that release smoke such as kerosene stoves and charcoal jikos.

Drinking lots of water is not only good for your skin but also your eyes. Dehydration can wreak havoc in your eyes robbing them their white color.

If you spend long hours behind a screen, your eyes strain and it also affects the color of your eyes. Reduce the amount of time spent on screens, the screen’s brightness and ensure the room is well lit. Too much light or too little will strain the eyes making them reddish.

If you are going to spend the day outdoors on a sunny day, don’t forget your sunglasses. They are as important as your sunscreen. The sun glasses protect your eyes from UV rays which damage eyes gradually.

Fruits and vegetables are full of vitamins and antioxidants that clear any blemishes in your eyes. Eat carrots, fruits rich in Vitamin C, green leafy vegetables and healthy nuts such as walnuts and almonds.

Sounds odd but you seriously need to exercise your eyes if you want them whiter and brighter. You simply close them tightly for some seconds then open them fast and wide. Repeat the procedure severally and with time, they will be whiter.
