The cry of a 4 month baby caught up in Sh1.5 million debt – #HelpBabyRoy

Let's all come together to help Baby Roy.

Baby Roy is only four months old but has already been through quite a lot with his health.

On October 17, Baby Roy was taken ill at Ruiru Hospital.  Doctors conducted a couple of tests and examinations on him, after which they recommended he be transferred to Gertrude’s Children Hospital for specialised treatment.

It was at Gertrude’s Children Hospital that Baby Roy was diagnosed with severe pneumonia and an upper airway obstruction with laryngomalacia.

Baby Roy, being the fighter that he is, has, and still is weathering this unexpected storm but we are glad that he is feeling much better.

Despite the great improvement on his health, another hurdle has emerged, the hefty medical bill at the hospital. The bill has so far hit a staggering Sh1.5 Million.

Although Roy’s parents had taken insurance cover for them and their baby, their provider, Sanlam Insurance, cannot fully cover the bill. They say the four-month old baby had a pre-existing condition.

This is where me and you come in, Baby Roy can’t be discharged from the hospital until the bill is cleared.

We can’t express how grateful we would be if you would help clear the arrears so that Baby Roy can be discharged from the hospital.
