Timmy Tdat is no stranger to controversy.
What do you think of the line? Yay or Nay?
When he's not twerking with ladies on a concert stage, he's making headlines in the Nairobi entertainment scene for all the wrong reasons. But away from controversy and drama, Timmy is one hardworking artiste. On top of having hit singles and collabos with other big names such as Khaligraph Jones, Timmy has now added fashionpreneur to his profile after debuting his Clothing Line - Tdat Pamba, whose tagline is 'Dunga safi kaa sabun'. Whatever that means for us bourgeois peeps. The line comprises of mandals (male sandals) made from Maasai Shuka and denim fabric as well as dresses, tank tops, vests, joggers, sweatshirts etc for both men and women. All the items have the Tdat label...you better put some respek on his name.
For many artistes, the future goal is to be moguls and fashion is one of the industries they choose to invest in. Thing is, when you're an influential person, you could walk in a sack and people will still copy you. You may not have the best designs and taste in fashion but some way somehow, because of your name, people will buy your clothes. Just like Kanye's Yeezy line, Tdat's clothing line is nothing extraordinary, it's just okay but already, the very new line has a fan base that's steadily growing by the day.
Here are some of the items by Tdat Pamba.
