Exclusive: 7 concepts home owners are using [video]
7 amazing concepts home owners are using.
At home one is always looking for relaxation and the new breed of home developers are implementing every available option to make sure this is achieved.
Walking around the Kenya Home Expo 21 Edition held at the Kenya International Convention Centre (KICC) I got a sneak peek of 7 amazing concepts home owners are using to ensure that the life of the busy Nairobian is well taken care of when they are at home.
1. Running tracks.
Working out has become a growing culture in Nairobi hence the importance of ensuring that training facilities are readily available.
Gyms are quite a norm, but a multimillion apartment coming up in Westlands has gone a notch higher to fit a running track at the roof top.
The stress of searching for a training facility to exercise will be taken off the backs of the residents.
2. Party parlor
The new crop of apartments now have spaces to cater for your friends and family when you decide to throw a huge party.
Some of the parlors can accommodate a group of 500 people for a rooftop party and rid you of the stress of having to outsource a venue.
3. Privacy
Nairobians care very much about their privacy and a developer on Thika Superhighway is now constructing apartments that allow tenants to occupy a floor all by themselves.
4. Day Care
For the Nairobian parent where their little one stays when they go to work is very dear to their hearts.
With the increased cases of insecurity and househelp brutaaly treating their employer's children, developers are now building Day care as part of the **** to cater for this.
5. Parking Lots
Going through the different stands at the Home Expo, it emerged that developers have realized parking spaces can be stressful for drivers in Nairobi.
To tackle this, the first two floors of most apartments now designate them as parking spaces. Therefore, when your friends show up, they will definitely have a place to park their car.
6. Smart Homes
As technology continues to improve on a daily basis, home makers are also incorporating it in the homes to make life easier.
Homes in Nairobi are being digitized to ensure life is running smooth.
With a click of a button, a touch of a screen or a voice command a home occupant can open or close their window curtains, turn on or swtich off lamps among others.
7. Helipads
Amazingly some apartment now have helipads for those who wish to use the ai instead of staying in the heavy traffic on Nairobi roads.
