Dr. Pimple Popper Pops Soot-Filled Blackheads

In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper pops a series of blackheads scattered around a mans forehead.
The patient is a former firefighter, which Dr. Lee says is a likely cause of his collection of blackheads.
A blackhead is a single pore filled with dead skin and oiland, in this case, sootwhich forms a black head when exposed to air.

In a new Instagram video, Dr. Pimple Popper aka dermatologist and TLC host Dr. Sandra Lee, MD pops a series of blackheads scattered around a mans forehead. And these teeny tiny pops have an interesting backstory of bravery. Yes, these are more than merely satisfying pops.

In the clip, Dr. Lee uses a comedone extractor to push out the blackheads speckled across the mans forehead. She says the growths are ready to go, with the derm only using light pressure to extract the pepper-like specks. Though skin concerns often are the result of genetics, these tiny splattered blackheads likely have a different origin, according to Dr. Lee.

So you were a firefighter, and I do think being out there in all the soot and the smoke and being in the sun all the time can wreck havoc, Dr. Lee tells the patient in the clip. Now that's fascinating.
