Why your salary never makes it to the end of the month
This is why you're money always seems to go down the drain almost immediately after being paid.
You feel liberated and as if the heavy burden of the last one month has been lifted off your shoulders – well at least some of us do – but you get the point it’s a great feeling.
While the feeling of getting paid is usually a good one however, the money always seems to go down the drain so fast.
One minute it was there and by the second week of the month, you are right back where you were the previous month.
Here are some reasons why you salary does not make it to the end of the month.
1.Baller mentality after pay day
You’ve got some money in the bank so why not spend some of it on things that you weren’t able to spend it on a few weeks ago. You go out, buy drinks at the club and even offer to pay for your friend’s drinks as well. Before you know it, you’ve blown a quarter of your salary at the club.
2.You’re always paying off debts
Immediately you’re salary checks into your account, the first thing you do is start paying off the debt for money you borrowed to buy shoes that you’ve never worn since they were bought. You have to pay for a bank loan that is overdue. You get the point.
3.You’re always swiping
Having a credit card can be both a blessing and a curse. Yes, it is less bulky and easier to carry than money but it is sometimes hard to keep track of the amount of money you are spending when all you do is swipe.
4.You don’t save your money
Saving may be hard for a lot of people but it is necessary to have a safety net just in case things turn out badly in the future.
5.You never pay your bills on time
When you let bills pile up, they become more and more hard to pay up. Prioritize and make sure you pay your bills on time to avoid piling them up.
