Ekaterina Karaglanova, a 24-year-old Instagram influencer based in Moscow, was found dead in her Moscow apartment Friday. After not hearing from her for several days, her parents contacted her landlord to get in touch, Russian outlet MK reported.
Ekaterina's landlord opened her apartment to a shocking scene. Her landlord and her family discovered her body stuffed into a large suitcase in the hallway, the publication reported. She suffered fatal stab wounds on her neck and chest. Her legs were sticking out of the suitcase, and the travel influencer was wearing lace garters.
She had amassed over 80,000 followers on her Kati Loves Life Instagram account. Her last photo was posted from a pool on a trip to Corfu, Greece on July 22. She shared in the caption in Russian: "I remember in detail every trip, all beautiful places, funny stories."
The BBC reported surveillance footage of her ex-boyfriend, who has since traveled to Europe, entering and leaving her apartment. Police reportedly are investigating jealousy as a possible motive, per the publication. There was no evidence of a struggle inside Ekaterina's apartment and no murder weapons have been found, per MK.

Ekaterina was planning a birthday trip to The Netherlands with her new boyfriend, per MK . Her 25th birthday would have been today. In the last year, she's visited Venice, Paris, Punta Cana, Ibiza, and many more destinations around the world.
Ekaterina also completed medical school, and shared her accomplishment with followers, who often compared her to actress Audrey Hepburn on her Instagram account.
Since news of her death, Ekaterina's followers have shared condolence messages on her Instagram account.
