Kenyatta who was in Meru to woo voter to elect him in the upcoming presidential election urged former Munya to stop his court case against incumbent Kiraitu Murungi.
The Head of State promised to work with the former Governor at the National level if he quits challenging Mr. Murungi's win in the just-concluded poll.
Last month, Munya filed a petition at Meru High Court where h=question the credibility of the elections.
The election was not free and fair. We witnessed a lot of irregularities. That is why we have filed the case
He alleged that some of the of the forms used during the polls were missing adding the votes were stolen.
“It is questionable that most half of the forms used by IEBC in the Meru governor's race in last month’s polls are missing.
"We will be with other democratic Kenyans. After stealing our votes, how do you (Jubilee) expect us to back you?"
"We are going to catch thieves who stole our elections," he said.
Munya challenged Murungi’s win a day after joining the National Super Alliance, which he left barely after two weeks for Jubilee party.
He announced his support for President Kenyatta noting that he will be drumming support for him in the upcoming polls.
