Nicholas Biwott says Ruto is the only ‘Total Man’ to be President Come 2022

Nicholas Biwott endorses the deputy president, William Ruto as the preferred presidential candidate to take over after Uhuru Kenyatta.

Former powerful cabinet minister, Nicholas Biwott over the weekend endorsed the deputy president, Hon. William Samoe Ruto as the preferred candidate to take the presidential mantle after Uhuru Kenyatta.

Biwott who was speaking in Keiyo, Elgeyo-Marakwet County urged the Kalenjin community to stick with Ruto and come 2022 elect him as the 5th president of Kenya.

The ‘total man’ as he is fondly known reiterated that the Kalenjin community had only one leader and therefore they should support the deputy president in the 2017 elections, as he campaigns for Uhuru’s second term and later on elect him as president in 2022.

Biwott was in the company of Elgeyo-Marakwet senator, Kipchumba Murkomen who when he rose to speak, lashed out at the former devolution cabinet secretary, Ann Waiguru.

The senator claimed that Waiguru was only trying to shift blame and should own up her deeds.

Murkomen was once a staunch supporter of Waiguru, going out of his way to defend her when she was linked to the Ksh791 million theft at the National Youth Service (NYS), the senator only beat a hasty retreat after Ms Waiguru linked him and deputy president personal assistant, Farook Kibet as individuals also involved in the NYS scam, during a grilling session in parliament over the NYS scam Last Month.

It is not clear however if Biwott endorsement will have significant impact on deputy president quest to be the president since over time the huge support and influence ‘total Man’ once enjoy at the height of President Moi government has drastically dwindled overtime.
