Nominated Nairobi MCA Anne Thumbi has responded to questions that were raised after she was spotted in the company of Jubilee party's Kibra aspirant McDonald Mariga.

The MCA recently got vindicated after the results of a DNA test confirmed that her son was fathered by the Late Kibra MP Ken Okoth.
Ms Thumbi, who was nominated into the Nairobi County Assembly by the Jubilee party, defended her decision to support Mariga saying that he is her party's choice.
"I was nominated to the Nairobi County Assembly under the Jubilee Party. I, therefore, am obligated to stick with the party’s choice in the race for Kibra parliamentary seat. Jubilee’s choice, as of today, is Mariga, and I needed to show him my support," she stated in an interview with K24.

When asked on whether she had considered supporting Imran Okoth, her baby daddy's brother, Ms Thumbi refused to offer a comment.
According to Nairobi Governor Mike Sonko, the MCA was nominated by the ruling party after a personal request from the deceased MP who had won the Kibra seat on an ODM party ticket.
Governor Sonko disclosed that Ken Okoth and Anne Thumbi met in Kibra during a medical camp which had been organized by the late MP in partnership with the Sonko Rescue Team.
Ms Thumbi was part of the medical staff who administered their services during the event.
