Speaking during a church service in Kawangware Mr. Kidero called for a full probe of the hotel linked to Deputy President William Ruto.

He added that the County Government will take action against Weston hotel if it is found that it had breached public health regulations.

The Governor ordered the County Health Executive Bernand Muia to find out whether the staff at the hotel tasked with handling the food were in compliance with public health guidelines.

"Weston Hotel takes full responsibility and accountability for the cholera outbreak that is why we are re-examing all the workers of Weston hotel and the necessary penalties will be meted out if found that they did not comply with the public health requirements," Kidero said.

The Governor further stated: "It is a public health requirement that all workers are subjected to a medical examination and get the necessary vaccination twice a year, and we will be looking into the staff files to see if this was followed".

Commenting on the matter the hotel's management divulged that the food taken by the guests, who were attending the 4th Kenya International Scientific Lung Health Conference organized by the Ministry of Health, was obtained from outside.

However, Kidero disputed the claims highlighting that: "We are seriously following the matter and the truth shall be unveiled".

Doctor Simon Kigondu, who has managed cholera outbreaks in Isiolo, recommended the closure of the hotel.
