CCTV Trail Reveals Where IEBC Manager Was Before Brutal Death

Step by step trail of slain IEBC manager's last moments in his car

According to the recording, Mr Msando was in his Land Rover Discovery registration number KCB 262Q cruising through Nairobi’s Central Business District (CBD) to Thika Super Highway before he disappeared.

In a report by the Standard, Mr Msando was in his vehicle with three occupants, a woman, dressed in a yellow attire and two men.

The two men are believed to be Msando's kidnappers. He  went missing on Friday night but reports of his disappearance hit headlines on Saturday.

A few minutes to 2 am – the manager is caught exiting Nairobi's Central Business District (CBD) through Harambee Avenue and driving along Mombasa Road.

Mr Msando then continues up to Mlolongo where he steps out of his car to make a call. The woman joins him.

“It appears the man (Msando) was under duress. He seems to have been pleading on the phone. After the brief conversation, he goes back to the car and continues driving slowly,”  the Standard quoted.

At 2.34 am- He is caught at Bellevue where the car comes to a halt. Msando is seen having a conversation with the three strangers in the car.

The vehicle then heads to Nairobi’s to the CBD through the link between Haile Selassie Avenue and Harambee Avenue.

In the CBD the vehicle is captured along Parliament road  and also Moi Avenue.

After making a few turns the car proceed to Globe Cinema roundabout upto Museum Hill through Kipande road.

“A few minutes later, it is captured along Forest Road where it stops, then drives on" .

Mandos’s car proceed to Thika Super highway and branches to Kiambu road.

The footage shows that after driving a few metre the car makes a u-turn as if driving back to town.

3 am – The vehicle reaches Muthaiga roundabout and drives towards Thika. It is then that he disappeared from the CCTV.

A close friend of Msando speaking to the Nation revealed that the tracking device in his vehicle disclosed that Msando’s vehicle had been on Thika Road and later Mombasa Road on Saturday.

The friend who sought anonymity mentioned that the IEBC manager had expressed fear for his life before he was killed.

At the same time, his vehicle was found in a parking lot at Thika Road Mall near Roysambu area.
