Mzungu man shows up at the airport dressed in underwear only and insists he must travel like that

Airport officials had a difficult time convincing Greig Bannatyne to put on some clothes for him to board a commercial flight back to his country.

Drama unfolded at Kamuzu International Airport in Malawi after a South African man turned up at the airport dressed in underwear only.

The white South African male, Greig Bannatyne, demonstrated how patriotic he was to his motherland as he showed up at the airport donning underwear which had the colors of the South African national flag.

Malawi news reported that the South African was high on weed and that his mental judgment had been impaired.

“A South African man who smoked Malawian Hemp at Cape Maclear wants to Fly back to South Africa naked. This is Kamuzu International Airport.” Malawi news reported.

It was later established that Bannatyne was only creating awareness and raising funds for children by flying in his underpants.

“One of our Lake Malawi swimmers – Greig Bannatyne – raised an additional R30, 000 for the cause by travelling home to SA in his Speedo! There were a few (official) issues along the way, but Greig, you’re our true hero!” Madswimmers clarified.
