The Director Directorate of Criminal Investigations says it had not summoned musician Kennedy Ombima alias King Kaka.

In a statement the DCI dispelled statements that the artist had been asked to present himself to authorities.

"We wish to condemn strongly false information being peddled through social media to the effect that one Kennedy Ombima @RabbitTheKing has been summoned. Nobody from DCI Kenya has summoned him," the statement read in part.

"Anybody wishing for publicity should be warned to desist from using the DCI_Kenya as platform in seeking media attention," it continued.

Various artists accompanied the musician to DCI headquarters along Kiambu road.
