ODM exposes President Uhuru’s “portal of lies”

The party dismissed the new site as yet another “public relations website”.

President Uhuru Kenyatta and Deputy President William Ruto pose with government officers at the launch of the National Government Public Information Portal at KICC in Nairobi on April 10, 2017.

Led by ODM Director of Elections Junet Mohamed and Executive Director Oduor Ongwen, the party dismissed the new site www.delivery.go.ke as yet another “public relations website” in addition to others namely mygov.go.ke, huduma.co.ke and president.go.ke .

“You will also recall the “state house summits” which became empty talk-shows and ended in angry outbursts towards holders of independent constitutional offices – particularly the Auditor General,” the party said.

"PR Portal"

The party posed the question whether Kenyans need another “PR Portal” that more than 70% of Kenyans cannot access for them to understand the impact of the Jubilee Government’s incompetence.

“The President has not been sincere. We all know corruption has been the flagship project of Uhuru’s incompetent government. In fact, we were hoping it will top the Jubilee Portal of Lies launched on Monday,” the party said in a statement.

ODM said the information portal should have had two things; the list of those who have stolen Kenyans money to the tune of about Sh300 billion in four years and the actions taken against these people.

"What became of the people he named in 2015 List of shame? Who among them is in jail? How much has his government recovered and what have the proceeds been used on?" ODM said in a strongly worded statement.

The opposition party said they had hoped corruption which President Kenyatta declared in 2015 as a national disaster would have topped the delivery "Portal of Lies".

"Creation of wealth has happened in a few people's pockets. You have all heard of Arap Mashamba, Ni ya Sweetie and Relathieves," the party said.
