Management of Dusit Complex on Wednesday issued a statement in regards to the steps that will be taken after the attack on the building.

The statement which was posted on their twitter account, stated that the building was closed until further notice.

“Our guests and upcoming reservations are being relocated to other hotels in the city,” read a part of the statement.

Ravisa Angekeeros VP, who is the Corporate Communications officer, thanked the police for the swift response to the Alshabaab attack when it occurred.

Angekeeros, pointed out that efforts were still being conducted to ensure that all staff members and guests were accounted for.

The communications officer further condoned the Tuesday attack and sent condolences to the families and friends affected.

Uhuru issues stern warning

President Uhuru Kenyatta had earlier addressed the country and confirmed that 14 people had been killed during the terror attack.

The Head of State affirmed that the security operation at the building had ended and the police would pursue the people responsible for planning the devastating incident.

Officers from the Recce squad unit had managed to gun down two of the militants after the 18-hour siege.

The Strategic Intelligence Service had shared photos of the attackers who were shot dead and the weapons together with the ammunition recovered at the scene.
