According to DP Ruto's spokesman David Mugonyi, the DP held meetings this week with key Jubilee pointmen from Ukambani and Coast at his Karen home to plot on how to beat Odinga in the upcoming polls. On Thursday last week, the DP met Jubilee nominees in areas perceived to be NASA's strongholds which included  Vihiga, Trans Nzoia Bungoma and Kakamega.

"The DP has met the leaders who have also met the President. This is part of Jubilee’s campaign strategy,” Mugonyi told a local daily.The meetings by the DP have been frequent especially with key men from NASA strongholds to ensure they penetrate their strongholds.According to sources close the President and his deputy, Jubilee is sure of clinching five seats from Ukambani and other Opposition strongholds.“We have a strategy. We know some of the aspirants from Ukambani will not make it, but we are sure to deliver not less than five parliamentary seats,” the source revealed. The DP is expected to hold more meetings to ensure Jubilee is reelected for a second term in office.
