Nairobi Senator Mike Sonko has announced that he will leave Jubilee if the party nominations slated for April are not free and fair.

Speaking on Citizen Digital on Friday morning, Sonke noted that would leave President Uhuru Kenyatta's party he lost the nomination ticket in a manner deemed not free, fair and transparent.

The senator, who is eying the Nairobi gubernatorial seat, disclosed that he will decamp to another party to ensure he is in the race to dethrone incumbent Evans Kidero.

The Senator recently claimed that there was a plot in jubilee to have him locked out of the gubernatorial race in favour of 2013 presidential hopeful Peter Kenneth.

In Fact, he claimed that one of one of President Uhuru Kenyatta's men had threatened to kill him to ensure he drops out of the race.

Fresh details have emerged indicating that Sonko could be planning to run for the Governor's seat with Bishop Margaret Wanjiru as his running mate.

This is after nominated MP Johnson Sakaja and Dagoretti South MP Dennis Waweru dropped out of the race in favour of the two.

According to sources, the Senator could be planning to join the Wiper Party led by Kalonzo Musyoka if he feels cheated in Jubilee.

If he joins Kalonzo's party, Sonko could run for the Machakos gubernatorial seat to dethrone Alfred Mutua, who defected from Wiper and formed his own party Maendeleo Chap Chap.

Experts have warned that the infighting between Sonko and Kenneth could hand ODM governor Kidero the seat during the August 8 polls.
