An aspiring Nyamira Member of County Assembly died on Friday evening following a tragic accident along the Ikongwe-Magwanga road in the County.
Kefa Nyangatare, who is eying the Itibo ward seat, was on a campaign trail when the accident happened.
Confirming the incident, Nyamira North OCPD Morris Asila divulged that Mr. Nyangatare was trying to avoid a boda-boda when he veered off the road.
The politician, who was running on a Democratic Party (DP) ticket, died on the spot.

Mr. Asila added that the aspirant succumbed to the injuries at the scene of the accident.
His body was transferred to Nyamira County Referral Hospital.
Sadly, Nyangatare who had campaigned vigorously for the August 8 Election will not see the fruit of his labour.
