Speaking during the National Super Alliance (NASA) rally in Nakuru, Mr. Muthama stated that after announcing that will never be a General Election if the August poll was rigged, Mr. Nkaissery sent him an SMS.

“Juzi nilipokuwa Mombasa, nilisema kwamba wakiiba kura zetu hakutakuwa na uchaguzi tena, Nkaissery alinitumia ujumbe kwa simu yangu akiniambia nakutazama ukiongea lugha ya chuki. [The other day when I was in Mombasa I said if there is rigging there will never be a General Election. After this Nkaissery sent me a message on my phone],” Muthama said.

The Senator warned the CS against supervising stealing of votes in the upcoming elections.

Muthama mentioned that the Opposition would not entertain such actions.

“Nataka kumwambia Nkaissery ukijaribu kusimamia uwizi wa kura sisi wananchi wa Kenya hatutakubali mambo hayo yatokee. [I warned Nkaissery that if you supervise stealing if votes, we will not accept it as citizens],” he added.

The rally was attended by NASA’s principals, Raila Odinga, Kalonzo Musyoka, Musalia Mudavadi, Moses Wetangula and Issac Rutto.

During the meeting, the Opposition leaders threatened to boycott the elections if Independent Electoral and Boundaries Commission (IEBC) is allowed to announce the final results at the national tallying centre at the Bomas of Kenya.

They vowed to hold a countrywide demo if the High Court’s decision on the matter is overturned.

The electoral body moved to court to challenge the decision to have the presidential results announced at the Constituency level.

“There will be no elections if it is changed. That will not be our election, but theirs as it will not be under law or Constitution,” Odinga mentioned.

At the same time, Wiper Party leader added: “If they don’t withdraw the appeal we will hold protests countrywide.
