Raila in serious trouble after new discovery on his degree

ODM leader Raila Odinga is in serious trouble after some abnormalities were discovered on his degree.

Human Rights Africa, through its advocate Robert Onyango, has moved a petition in the high court and wants Odinga compelled to produce his certificates as evidence of graduating. The NGO purports that they discovered the former Prime minister claims to have a degree in engineering yet he has never produced any evidence to show the same."The 1st respondent has always claimed publicly that he attended university between the years of 1965-1970 to study a Master of Sciences in Mechanical Engineering.“So far, he has only produced a certificate acquired in the years of 1962-1965, Certificate of Higher Education from Herder Institute, Leipzig, German Democratic Republic, with competence in German Language," part of the petition reads.Mr Onyango continues and states that the college which the Opposition leader claims to have graduated from was recently certified as a university."The lack of clarity emanates from the fact that the university in which the 1st Respondent claims to have attended only recently became a university and hence could not, by all means, have conferred a degree in 1970," it adds. The group further wants the former premier declared unfit for public office on grounds that he has been mentioned on numerous corruption scandals.

“The 1st respondent, in particular, has never been publicly cleared of wrongdoings or involvement in the said scandals" the petition reads.
