Raila’s cousin caught brutally beating up ODM supporters

Pictures of ODM leader Raila Odinga’s cousin allegedly caught roughing up young men he had hired to woos voters to support him in the just concluded Orange party primaries, have flooded the internet.

Gem MP Jakoyo Midiwo, who lost during the primaries, is said to be witch-hunting the young men and beating them up for the embarrassing loss in the ODM nominations.

Plive.co.ke could not independently verify the legitimacy of the photos, however, an ODM die-hard reposted the photos captioning them as: “Jakoyo Midiwo is looking for youths and agents who took his money and giving them thorough beating”.

In one of the dramatic pictures a man resembling Midiwo is seen roughly holding the shirt of one of his alleged agents.

In another photo, the legislator is captured chasing down one of the agents.

The National Assembly Deputy Minority leader has since rubbished the photos highlighting that they had been manipulated.

"I am aware of the pictures circulating that are purported to be me. I want to make it clear that the man on the pictures is not me. Whatever those people who did this want to achieve I don’t know,” Midiwo was quoted by a local daily.

Memes and jokes have been created since the photos landed on social media.

Last week Midiwo lost the ODM ticket to run for the Gem Parliamentary seat to one Elisha Odhiambo. He has since made a complaint to the ODM tribunal.
