Kuresoi South Member of Parliament (MP) Zakayo Cheruiyot has now alleged that President Uhuru Kenyatta has shortchanged deputy President William Ruto’s 2022 presidential ambition.
Speaking on Monday, Cheruiyot claimed that Kenyatta betrayed his deputy the minute he signed an agreement with Baringo Senator Gideon Moi in Ruto’s absence.
The legislator, who ditched Jubilee for Chama Cha Mashinani (CCM), said that the Head of State had another presidential candidate for 2022.
"We have been questioning how and why URP was dissolved. We thought they didn't want other parties but we saw Uhuru engaging some.
"When we realised things were changing, we formed our own party called Chama Cha Mashinani," Cheruiyot stated.
