Drama preceded the former CS's arrest as Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) detectives jumped over the gate to his Karen home to gain access to the house.
Echesa is now accused of fraudulently acquiring a Toyota Land Cruiser vehicle among four others that were impounded and ferried to the DCI headquarters along Kiambu Road.

Echesa denies DCI entry to his home
Reports indicate that the DCI detectives were kept waiting outside the suburban residence form more than an hour as Echesa had refused to let them in.
The former CS argued that he could not allow the officers into his home unless under advisement from his lawyer.
Eventually the officers had to use force and unorthodox means to gain entrance and arrest the suspect.
