Four suspected criminals were shot dead by police after a fierce shoot-out on Sunday morning.
DCI reports that the slain suspects were gunned down after a car-jacking incident at White Castle apartments in which they attempted to make away with a stolen car.
The victims of the car-jacking incident alerted detectives based at the Pangani Police Station who responded swiftly and trailed the gangsters Juja road B-H area where a fierce shoot-out ensued.
According to the DCI, the suspects who were six in number defied orders to surrender and engaged the police in a fierce gun battle resulting in the deaths.
A cache of weapons including two pistols, several rounds of ammunition and four knives were recovered from the suspects.
A statement posted on DCI’s Twitter stated: “Four Robbery with violence suspects were early today gunned down in a shoot-out with detectives along Juja Road-BH area and two pistols with several rounds of ammunition and four knives recovered. The gang had robbed two Whitecastle residents and attempted to get away with their car”.

Two others escaped on foot into the neighbouring Kosovo informal settlements and a manhunt has been launched.
“On receiving the report from the victims, Detectives based in Pangani P/Station launched a Manhunt & caught up with the gang of six, who Disobeyed Orders to surrender and engaged in a gun fight. Two escaped to Kosovo Area but are being pursued.” Added the statement.
