Detectives from the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) have arrested a man captured in a viral video cutting another for allegedly stealing chicken.

Announcing the arrest on Sunday, DCI said that Francis Muse Liseche who is popularly known as Moi had been arrested alongside three other suspects for the heinous act. The owner of the alleged stolen chicken is among the arrested individuals.
According to DCI, the victim is reported to have died from severe injuries sustained from the cutting.
The four suspects in police custody will be charged with murdering the victim on Monday.
“Mr. Francis Muse LISECHE alias Moi alias President who was captured on a viral video savagely cutting a man on allegations of stealing a CHICKEN has been arrested by #DCI Detectives from the HQs. Three other suspects also arrested including the owner of the alleged stolen chicken. The incident took place at #Shinyalu in Kakamega & the victim died from the brutal cutting. We urge members of the public NOT to take the law into their own hands. The FOUR suspects will be arraigned on Monday to face Murder charges. Further enquiries on the matter still ongoing. The other three suspects are: 34-year-old Evans Lichoti Ashihundu, 43-year-old Agapitus Ingosi Ang’uswa and 48-year-old Reuben Smith Shitambasi. All in lawful custody helping in further investigations,” tweeted DCI.
