President's advisor Joshua Kutuny has over powered runner Wesley Korir

The vocal Jubilee MP Aden Duale has defended his seat as the Mp elect for Garissa Township.

Duale was racing against Farah Maalim of Wiper who gave him a run for his money, has the competition was very tight.

Constituency Returning Officer Boru Duba declared Mr Duale the winner after he garnered 22,587 votes against his main political opponent Farah Maalim who got 14,897 votes.

Others in the race were Aden Mohamed Abdullahi (135 votes) and Abdi Yare Mohamed (454 votes).

While addressing supporters and journalist at the constituency tallying hall, Mr Duale thanked voters whom he said have shown confidence in his leadership for giving him a third term in row.

In Cherengany Constituency Presidential advisor Joshua Kutuny is returning to the August House after flopping the incumbent MP Wesley Kipchumba Korir.

The constituency returning officer is yet to announce the official results of the Cherengany seat later in the day.

Others in the Cherangany race were, Patrick Simiyu who is coming second despite the official result not being out.

In 2013, Joshua Kutuny lost his seat to Korir who in history has been representing the country in athletics.
