It's a wrap for Hussein after 10 years.

Citizen TV's Hussein Mohamed

Popular journalist Hussein Mohamed has announced his exit from Citizen TV after ten years at the SK Macharia-owned station.

It was not immediately clear where Mohamed will be heading but he promised that his fans would be seeing him soon.

"It has been a wonderful 10 years at Citizen TV. I have enjoyed & relished every moment I shared with my colleagues at RMS. I have decided to take a break after October In Sha Allah to concentrate on other matters. Loved the fans, the critics & everything in between. See you soon," he tweeted.

The soft-spoken scribe has worked at Citizen TV for a decade, rising from a low-level reporter to one of the station's highly reputable journalists.

He is particularly hailed for his interviewing skills that have seen him interview prominent political figures with tough questions, while at the same time keeping them civil.

Among the high-profile figures he has interviewed include Deputy President William Ruto, ODM Leader Raila Odinga, among others.
