A wave of change has swept the populous county of Baringo after voters of the Jubilee Party sent home the incumbent governor, an MP and all the MCAs in the party primaries.
Governor Benjamin Cheboi was handed a humiliating defeat at the hands of Knut Koibatek branch executive secretary Stanley Kiptis.
Kiptis garnered 12,017 votes against Cheboi's 4,215 votes.

The axe also fell on the Baringo Central MP Sammy Mwaita to Nairobi based lawyer David Kerich.
Kerich garnered an impressive 12,341 votes as compared to Mwaita's 5,448 votes.
Soon after the news of the victory, Baringo Central residents took to the streets of Kabarnet Town to celebrate the landslide win of Kerich over the incumbent Mwaita.
MP Mwaita later conceded defeat and pledged to work with Kerich.
Prof Sambili, a former university teacher and Kanu stalwart who defected to Jubilee last year, lost to Dr Daniel Tuitoek, an engineering lecturer at Egerton University.
Dr Tuitoek garnered 11,994 votes against Sambili's 6,015.
At the same time, all six Koibatek sub-County MCAs were also send packing by voters in the same Jubilee Primaries in Baringo County.
