The Harvard trained lawyer is also understood to have declined the appointment as it did not match his expertise and not in line with his interest in the private sector.
The former Mandera Central MP who commands respect shot to the limelight while serving as the chair of the Parliament Select Committee on the Constitution in the 11 parliament.
Mohamed quit elective politics in 2013 at a young age after serving a single term in parliament, claiming that it was chocking his soul. Clan politics is also believed to have pushed him out of politics.
He is also the 2011 German Africa Award recipient in recognition of his outstanding leadership and championing for human rights and the rule of law.
He attended Rhamu Primary School before proceeding to Alliance Boys’ High school and University of Nairobi.
1996 was the year of the big break in his life. He married his village mate Amina Ibrahim in the same year and registered his law firm. He also got admitted to the bar in the same year and won his first court case.
