The Employment and Labour Relations Court in Kisumu has barred Prof. Anyang Nyongo and the County Assembly from disbanding the countys Public Service Board.
6 board members had filed a petition to bar their disbandment.
The board had been appointed by former Kisumu governor Jack Ranguma and had served for more than four years.
The ruling came after the Kisumu country assembly had approved a motion seeking to fire the board over allegations of discrimination, nepotism and corruption.
Another blow to the NASA governor was a court restraining order to stop the county government from recruiting new board members.
