The swift action by US-based social media Company Twitter to suspend Cyprian Nyakundi’s account over sharing of nude photos has thrown Kenyans online in a frenzy, many demanding his return, but at what cost?

Using the hashtag #BringBackNyakundi, online enthusiasts have demanded that Twitter restores the account which had over 600,000 followers.

The account was suspended Monday evening after the blogger shared a nude photo in which he alleged that the Managing Director of Radio Africa group, Mr Martin Khafafa had sex with unidentified ladies in the bathroom, accompanied with a photo of the three.

A Duncan Makori has criticized Twitter for suspending prominent Africans online including Nyakundi.

“ might be using a vulgar language, we might have disagreed at some point but this new trend of suspending prominent Africans is no longer funny. ,” he tweeted.

Another tweep, Odhiambo Royalty said: “ must understand that Cyprian Nyakundi is the reason why many Kenyans use without him. Without him should forget about its existence in Kenya.”

Another tweep Kwale Gooner took the message direct to the Twitter owner, Jack Dorsey saying: “Hello please we have chunks of useless tweeps who add no value in this space, can you save all of us the agony and restore Cyprian Nyakundi' handle? ”

Sugoi Gaa‏ said: “Martin Khafafa was my immediate neighbor in Jua Kali, Eldoret. The Nyakundi photos of him naked with slay queens doesn't surprise me.”

Underrated Ninja said: “Imagine being Nyakundi. Man was expelled from Meru University a few years ago because of Twitter and now twitter has permanently suspended him. Back to back Ls.”
