Kenyans have reacted to a photo of a boy laying half naked in a pool of blood after being attacked by gang purporting to be protecting business.

The boy identified as Gabriel Odhiambo, is said to have been heading to Gikomba market when the welcoming parade for Raia Odinga turned violent. Gabriel ran for safety towards Nyamakima market. It is then that Gabriel ran into the gang.

The gang pounced on him with crude weapons. They then proceeded to strip him in an attempt to circumcise him.
