Dickson Okoyo Ndemo, who works as a sergeant at Arms at Kajiado County Assembly, was arrested after he failed to appear in Court to answer charges of indecent act to a minor aged 12 years old.
In a tweet from DCI Kenya, Ndemo committed that crime on August 6th, 2015 and was summoned to appear before Milimani Law courts but failed prompting a warrant of arrest to be issued against him. He was taken to Buruburu police station as he awaits to be arraigned in court.

According to the Kenyan Law, anyone caught with a defilement case is charged contrary to section 8 (1) as read with section 8 (2) of the sexual offences Act. One can also be charged with the alternative charge of committing an indecent act with a Child contrary to Section 11 (1) of the Sexual Offences Act No. 3 of 2006.
Penalties of Defilement
Defilement of a child 11 years and below carries a sentence of life imprisonment.
Defilement of a child between the ages of 12 to 15 carries a sentence of 20 years imprisonment.
Defilement of a child between 16- 18 years old carries a sentence of 15 years imprisonment.
