7 killed, 15 injured in tragic accident

Two people died on the spot while five others were pronounced dead on arrival at hospital.

Seven people were killed in a grisly road accident at Elementaita on the Gilgil-Nakuru Highway.

While confirming the incident, Gilgil OCPD Emmanuel Opuru said the accident occurred after matatu rolled on the busy highway.

Fifteen others were rushed to the the Nakuru Level five hospital with various injuries.

County Police Commandant Hassan Barua said the passengers were headed to Kiptagwany.
