In a statement seen by Pulselive.co.ke, Mr. Kiraithe described the abduction as an attempted murder which ended up in the demise of Sharon.
He stated that investigations have been launched and those found culpable will face the full force of the law.
"As we mourn this untimely death, we take this opportunity to assure the public, and the media fraternity in particular that this matter will be expeditiously investigated and the perpetrators of this heinous crime will be made to face the full force of the law," the statement read.
