Dr Kidero sought to be enjoined in case filed by two voters challenging Mr Sonko's election in the August 8 polls at the High Court as an interested party.
The former Managing Director of Mumias Sugar, through his lawyer, Mr Tom Ojienda, argued that the decision of the court grant Dr Kidero his prayer court to enjoin him as an interested party in the Japheth Moroko’s petition for personal interests.
He told Justice Msagha Mbogholi of a Nairobi High Court that if Dr Kidero would have been allowed to take part in the proceedings, Governor Sonko will suffer no prejudice.
Earlier, Mr Sonko implored the court to dismiss Kidero’s application insisting it is an afterthought and a backdoor suit to challenge his election.
Mr Sonko, through his lawyers Harrison Kinyanjui and Cecil Miller, had told High Court Judge Msagha Mbogholi that the application is an after thought and a backdoor application to challenge his election as Nairobi Governor.
Sonko’s election was challenged by two voters, Japheth Muroko and Zachaeus Okoth.
