Chebukati is not the caretaker at Anniversary Towers – IEBC

Missing keys

On Wednesday night, a local station reported that Chiloba could not access his office at Anniversary Towers as Chebukati had gone away with the keys.

The CEO was returning back to work after an order by Chebukati sending him on compulsory leave was suspended by the court.

In a response, electoral body dismissed the reports noting that Chebukati was not a janitor at the Anniversary Towers.

IEBC stated that it was simply by chance that Chiloba was returning back to work the same day Chebukati was out of the country.

"It's just some coincidence that  was away. He is the Chairman, he does not carry any office keys. He is not the janitor," IEBC tweet.

At the same time Mr Chebukati tweeted: "Was going to joke that my wife has them in her handbag but this is the correct position," he said referring to IEBC tweet.
